Flagged Hotel / Motel 

All motels and hotels are either flagged (franchised) or nonflagged/unflagged (independently owned). Flagged hotels have various benefits since there will be a range of locations in all of the well known cities for travelers to stay at. These hotels or motels receive a reputation much like a franchised restaurant for people to recommend to others. The hospitality and commercial real-estate industry has really taken off and is now a very popular industry; therefore there are many opportunities available in this field.
 
Flagged or franchised hotels or motels are nationwide franchises that have various advantages over a nonflagged hotel or motel. Many aspects of flagged hotels or motels are standardized and do not range or change heavily in areas such as appearance, pricing and facilities. This is why travelers develop preferences as they travel since a flagged hotel or motel will always be the same and be consistent to the visitor's needs. This basically means that most lending groups will look for qualities such as strong debt service, the fact that you are acquiring a flagged franchise and have a decent profitability for a minimum of 2 years in order to work with you. These companies have various connections with investors and bankers in order to supply loans at the lowest-cost financing options that range from $25 million-$300 million dollars.
